Free Download Upkar 1967 Songs: Upkar was released in the year 1967 and was directed by “Mr.Bharat” none other than the only legendary Manoj Kumar. He started direction and his Mr Bharat persona and his brand of patriotism & fearless courage with this film.
The other star cast in the movie are Asha Parekh, Pran, Prem Chopra, Madan Puri and Kamini Kaushal. Pran played his first positive character role and won the Filmfare best supporting actor. Madan Puri played the main villain with alleviate, full talent and command on the role.
The music was composed by Kalyanji Anandji. The sole to the songs given by Lata Mangeshkar, Mohd. Rafi, Asha Bhosle, Mukesh, Mahendra Kapoor & Manna Dey. The song “Mere Desh Ki Dharti” song by Mahendra Kapoor bought him National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer, and nominated for Filmfare Best Male Playback Singer.
The film bagged many Filmfare and National Award for that year, and some songs become the ever green patriotic songs of India, which palyed and still playing in School, Government offices, Colleges, and in other Organization during Indias Indipendence & Republic Day.
The then Prime Minister Of India Late: Lal Bahadur Shastri, praised Manoj Kumar’s “Shasheed Film”, and encouraged Manoj Kumar to make a film on the “Jai Jawaan Jai Kissan slogan”. The slogan shaped into Manoj Kumar's official debut as a director for Upkar, where he believably played both a jawan and a kisan. A huge hit, Upkar made Manoj an authority on screen patriotism.
